I've noticed, regularly in conversation, the impact of inflation on earnings (especially in regards to "how much our parents made compared to us") continues to come up. Many of my contemporaries completely neglect inflation when making historical wage comparisons. So, I built this small applet to measure the impact of inflation on earnings in the US.

Overview

The tool isn't perfect and lacks nuance, such as nominal purchasing power by year, but it's an easy and convenient tool you can reference on the fly.
